A bit more information if you’re truly interested:

My name is Scott Cameron and I’m a freelance copywriter in NYC.

Before advertising, I spent four years traveling the world as a professional tennis player. Eventually, I traded tournaments for taglines and moved to NYC to begin my copywriting career at Peanut Butter & Imagination.

At the agency, I worked across a diverse roster of national brands, developing conceptual and short-form copy spanning brand, product, and social campaigns. I collaborated closely with art directors, strategists, and creative leadership to bring ideas from concept to execution across multiple platforms. Some of the brands I’ve had the chance to work on:

Domino’s – Concepted and wrote punchy, consumer-first copy rooted in speed, convenience, and distinct brand voice.

Northwestern Mutual – Developed accessible, human-centered messaging around financial literacy, risk, and long-term planning.

Zoom – Wrote clear, benefit-driven and social-forward copy for product features and B2B storytelling, balancing utility with personality.

Autotrader & Kelley Blue Book – Concepted and crafted a 30s radio spot for a national Autotrader campaign, along with DOOH supporting the current TV spot. Wrote cross-platform copy encouraging consumers to buy, sell, and value their vehicles using brand tools and products.

Across every brief, I bring a strategic mindset, imagination, instinct for tone, and a collaborative approach to the work.
